Techdirt.  Britain is a canary in the Police State coal mine.  What happens there is a harbinger of what will probably happen here.  Though they do seem to have been fully transformed into an Orwellian Surveillance State long ago, it’s only a matter of closing all the remaining loopholes.

Truthdig.  Wikileaks has a searchable archive of over 30,000 Hillary emails.  Now, Wikileaks is accusing Facebook of blocking users’ access to the email trove via Facebook links.  Try clicking on a Wikileaks link on FB and it will tell you that the “action isn’t available right now”.  More evidence of Matt Drudge’s assertion that Twitter and Facebook are nothing more than internet ghettos that we’re being slowly herded into.

It’s impossible to compromise between liberty and tyranny, in the same way it’s impossible to compromise between encryption and no encryption.  You can’t build a partial backdoor, or make a partial key, and only tyrants present false choices such as this to the people.
