Soldiers lives as tripwires to war

It’s impossible to view the soldiers stationed along the Syrian border as anything more than deliberate, sacrificial lambs to justify retaliation. They serve no purpose by being there, other than as deliberately exposed targets. The recent deaths of three soldiers at Tower 22 in Jordan near the border of Syria, will now be used to justify a string of US military strikes on Iranian targets, who will then respond with more deadly drone attacks, for which we have almost no defense. The 2,500 US soldiers left in Iraq could easily be taken out by a sufficiently motivated Iranian military, who could very well coordinate their attack with those of the Yemeni Houthis, and Hezbollah.

A picture is painted of a Biden administration desperate for a war to disrupt the coming Presidential election. I find it amazing how often US foreign policy is merely the result of domestic, electoral politics. The PR experts come in after decisions are made to launch a war, and craft the narrative that would most likely be bought by the American public. We are in the midst of transition between psy-ops, and it’s frightening to think what could be just around the corner.

Never underestimate the destruction caused by stupidity

A “smart but stupid” person killed this little girl. We see these people everywhere, “smart” in an academic sense maybe, but incredibly careless, reckless with the health and safety of those around them, in their day-to-day lives. Somehow, they’re able to find employment in fields where error means death or injury, and yet they remain employed. We need to not only bring back IQ tests, but develop and employ empathy tests, and more importantly, tests for common critical sense. Medical error is the third leading cause of death in the United States, and I’d wager that if we studied each medical professional responsible, we’d find a pattern in personality and behavior. After that, it would be the simple step of screening applicants for these red flag personality traits and then blacklisting them forever from working in a field where error can cost lives.

Did Remdesivir kill 100,000 Americans?

The deadliest act that our government took at the outset of the COVID pandemic was to pay hospitals extra $ for every COVID-positive patient, every COVID patient placed on a ventilator, and every COVID patient who used Remdesivir. This incentivized hospitals to code as many COVID patients as possible, place as many on ventilators as possible, and put as many as possible on Remdesivir. These deadly incentives distorted the response to COVID from our hospitals, inserting an insidious profit motive into decisions on how to care for these patients.
