Lockdown murders are real. This is pencil-pusher murder, or the “banality of evil”, as Hannah Arendt famously said. Murder-by-bureaucracy, murder-by-policy. Who is responsible in the long chain of bureaucratic command? One outcome of the lockdown fallout is that someone within that command chain should be designated as the responsible party.
