Compare nursing home death rates to those of previous years. I haven’t researched this at all yet, but if COVID is anywhere close to the killer we’ve been led to believe it is, then nursing home death rates will have spiked compared to previous years. If the number hasn’t, then it’s very likely that COVID is only killing those who would have died this year anyway. That does not discount the tragedy of their deaths, but it will mean that this entire pandemic will have been almost entirely a charade, a virus of the imagination, and every authoritarian action taken to mitigate it will have been in vain. I’ve thought more and more about this ever since discovering the fact that the U.S. will experience fewer deaths in 2020 compared to previous years.
Just think about what we were led to believe back in March. Some new infectious disease, having emerged from a shadowy laboratory in China and possibly a genetically-engineered killer virus, was killing thousands in Wuhan and would soon be within our borders. The fear was very real, and lockdowns were built upon that fear. Now, think about your feelings toward COVID in the present. The fear is gone. Those that are clinging to their fear do so because they want to be afraid. The fear gave them meaning. Now its just another talking point for the Democratic Party.
