The power that political correctness wields over the public mind can be seen most clearly in how few people are criticizing the swathes of violence and destruction that Antifa are cutting through American cities. Most are too afraid to say anything, even after seeing brutal acts like the one below. This vast, organized campaign of violence is being virtually unopposed by the political establishment, corporate press, and chattering upper class commentators. The level of organized energy and intelligence it would take to mount an effective challenge to this emergent authoritarianism is probably too great for the people in many of these countries. Most of the people who are demanding an end to pandemic authoritarianism have spent their lives supporting policies that would lead directly to this outcome. You can tell someone that they can’t have it two ways, but it won’t matter. You support the piecemeal creation of an all-encompassing, cradle-to-grave nanny state, don’t be surprised when it takes total control and unleashes brutality on its foolish creators.
