For decades, the leading causes of death in Alberta (4.5M people) were heart disease, dementia & cancer.
In 2020 Covid was no. 6 and in 2021 it was no. 3.
But now something new is no. 1: "Unknown".
Do we really not know?
Or we just can't say?
