Many on the Right spend much time and energy exposing the professional victims here in the US, who spread a culture of faux victimhood that implies the right of the victim to plunder any and all “oppressors”. Victimhood as a cultural identity is on the rise everywhere, and it isn’t difficult to understand the danger of where this all leads. It leads to vengeance: assault, murder, rape, et cetera. An identity of victimhood is inextricably intertwined with “justice”, which plainly refers to acts of retribution against either a racial class, or socio-economic class. This retributive impulse has always been the animating force behind Marxism.
Where does it all lead? Well, one only has to look at Israel, the nation that has taken victimhood to its logical conclusion. They define themselves purely by how savagely they inflict “justice” on their “oppressors”. It could be said that Zionism has no other definition outside of untethered victimhood. This cultural identity allows them moral carte Blanche to periodically murder thousands of Palestinians, who fill the role of “oppressor” in a never ending, ghoulish stage play that Israel plays out over and over again. They will never move past their status as “victim”, because to do so would mean the end of Israel itself. It would dissipate, disband, as so many cults ultimately do.
Take victimhood as a cultural identity to its limit, and you get Zionism, and Israel. It becomes obvious once you think about it. The logical conclusion of victimhood is holocaust. Now give that a think, but sit down beforehand and your mind quakes in the face of this ultimate irony.
