As I’ve said since the beginning of the pandemic, way too many people act and talk as if Santa Claus restocks the grocery store every night. This is a widely held attitude among the middle/upper class, the same class who has demanded lockdowns/masks/vaccine mandates. These people are disconnected from the real world, but are the ones whose voices count when decisions are made that affect the real world. A dangerous situation.
Questions for those with brilliant ideas like this one:
Are you going to eat the cash for two weeks? Burn it to warm your house?
Because you realize "us all" includes people who feed you and keep your lights on, right?
