Get these people out of range of children, and if your school absolutely needs security, hire from a private firm. A private contractor won’t bring all the baggage that a cop carries with them. They can’t make arrests, they can’t beat up kids and then cower behind “qualified immunity”, and they aren’t mindlessly worshiped by society at large. They patrol and monitor the school for crazy people seeking to harm the kids. They don’t interfere with the daily operation of the school. They are a simple protection against the nutjobs that occasionally pop up. Cops in schools have been a disaster. Get them out.
