How much lower will it go once the people who were at Death’s door already are taken out of the count? And those already fatally ill? Why did the world so abruptly throw itself into this abyss, seemingly without a care for the obvious consequences? Our lives depend on a functioning, free economy. We are entirely dependent on this system of exchange for our food, housing, and well-being. We are staggering toward the light, but the authoritarian forces are exerting their gravitational pull to drag us back in.
