Daily Beast. Is Trump really that much worse/better than what we’ve had the past 16 years? He’s a populist authoritarian, nothing more. He’ll rack up the drone kills just like Obama, he’ll spend just like Obama and Bush, he’ll launch wars, just like Obama and Bush. He’s neither the Anti-Christ nor the Second Coming, he will acclimate himself very quickly to the Welfare/Warfare State routine. Throughout his time in office, he’ll use the same populist language, but nothing, nothing, will change. He will neither hasten nor slow the diminishment of our liberty.
