Slate, of all places, provides a few reminders and warnings about giving cops more unregulated technology.
On the whole, body cams for cops are a good thing. Provided they can’t be turned off at will by the cop. Also, there needs to be a prohibition on turning a cop into a walking real-time surveillance camera, scanning and storing every face that comes into view of the technology.
