Why isn’t the teen suicide rate ever mentioned?

The suicide rate for kids ages 15-19 in Oklahoma sits at a ghoulish 16 per 100,000, significantly higher than the rest of the country. Yet we never hear about teen suicide in this state. Why? 

Compare the above rate to the COVID hospitalization rate for under-18’s, which never rises above 1.6 per 100k:

I’d say we have our priorities totally screwed up.
