The level of sheer, ignorant spite on display here boggles the mind. 4,000 LA cops are now set to lose their jobs, along with 18,000 other public employees. This is all over a vaccine mandate that we now know accomplishes nothing. Cities with mandates and passports aren’t suddenly experiencing a drop in COVID cases, hospitalizations, or deaths. These mandates do absolutely nothing. And yet hundreds of thousands of US workers are watching their lives be destroyed over them. Why? These are families being ruined over this garbage. The people in power know this, and yet are pressing on.

It appears obvious to me that the human animal will take advantage of any opportunity to inflict cruelty when the opportunity arises, if they know that they can get away with it.
