Tucker on the Gaza genocide

There’s a fun horror film trope where, in the second or third act, it’s discovered that the savage killer or monster has a well-meaning, innocent benefactor who nurtures and shields them, and turns a blind eye to their crimes. The only reason the monster is free to kill is due to this protection provided it. Only when this benefactor is removed, the monster is finally defeated. In fiction, it’s a great basis for a wide variety of plots. But when it plays out in the real world, and with entire nations involved, the result is an endless series of massacres, culminating in some ultimate bloodletting. We’re currently embroiled in a real-world display of this horror trope, and the US plays the role of blind benefactor to Israel’s inhuman monster. Israel massacres at its leisure, because it knows the US will allow it, and will never remove the protection that shields it from the justice that it would probably swiftly receive. The only question is how much longer can this go on?

Inevitable headlines

We knew headlines like this were coming. First denial, and now the inevitable public admission with a generous helping of “so what?”. I was never going to take the vax, but I definitely wasn’t going to take an action that was being pushed in an atmosphere of total hysteria. I feel very sorry for those who took the vaccine, not out of a belief that it would keep them safe, but because they were told to, with the implied “or else”.  The message became peer pressure, which is powerfully persuasive for those who have such a fear of social ostracization that they will risk their health, and the health of their children. And now look at the price of that cowardice.

Are serious leaders a thing of the past?

Hesgeth, Secretary of War, comes off like a buffoon, a middle-aged adolescent who appears in over his head. The Left is going to throw him in prison for the rest of his life when they return to power, as they make exceedingly clear at every opportunity. Neither he, nor most Trump officials, understand the stakes, even after four years of Biden, assassinations, riots, burning cities. The Left is serious. The Right is not. Trump, Hesgeth, Miller, and others, love to be provocative, to thumb their noses in the faces of their political opponents, without an apparent care in the world what will happen when their party begins losing elections. The Left doesn’t forget or forgive.
