According to Ballotpedia, Candace Owens endorsed Thomas Massie’s opponent, Todd McMurtry. Massie is almost alone in his courageous defense of liberty in this nation. He alone demanded a recorded vote on the multi-trillion dollar COVID bailout of corporate America. He is as close to a young Ron Paul as we’ll probably ever get, and Owens endorsed his opponent. McMurtry appears to be a generic Trump clone, someone who tries a little too hard to come off as a tough guy. He exudes the anti-intellectualism and lack of nuance characteristic of the blindly pro-cop, pro-Israel, pro-war Right that we’ve come to expect of many Republicans during the War on Terror years. He appeals to people of that same limited intellect, people for whom difficult questions regarding war, peace, and liberty, induce painful migraines that they would rather avoid. Thankfully, Massie’s constituency is composed of uniquely intelligent individuals, people who see through McMurtry’s fraudulent facade. McMurtry would be nothing more than a rubber stamp for more war, more spending, more debt, all at the price of diminished liberty. McMurtry, if elected, would have gleefully leapt head-first into the Swamp and become just another RINO invertebrate among thousands. This is what Owens wanted over Massie, which despite her witty Tweets, tells you all you need to know about her. McMurtry stood no chance against Massie, who received over 80% of the vote.
