Philip Giraldi, writing at Unz.com, informs readers of the bizarre, unnecessary, and ominous practice of U.S. police training in Israel alongside non-U.S. police.

This practice, along with “mandatory holocaust training” of officers, begs the question of why is this even occurring at all? Why is the U.S. taxpayer funding it, and what could they possibly get out of the deal? Israel, a modern apartheid state that also exists in its current form because the United States has taken it in completely as a charity case, doling out billions of taxpayer dollars, as well as weapons, war-guarantees and a blind eye to what Israel does in the Arab world, including the operation of the vast open-air prison of Palestinians, has nothing to offer U.S. cops, whose profession solely exists to serve the American people. Israeli cops, on the other hand, act as the enforcers of Apartheid, and use tactics suited to that situation. Any Israeli training internalized by U.S. cops will not make Americans any safer.

The latest data from ProPublica’s “Dollars for Docs” finds that doctors are paid big bucks by medical companies, which has a predictably significant effect on the likelihood they’ll prescribe those companies’ drugs or use their products.
