Candace Owens, just another generic Republican demagogue

According to Ballotpedia, Candace Owens endorsed Thomas Massie’s opponent, Todd McMurtry. Massie is almost alone in his courageous defense of liberty in this nation. He alone demanded a recorded vote on the multi-trillion dollar COVID bailout of corporate America. He is as close to a young Ron Paul as we’ll probably ever get, and Owens endorsed his opponent. McMurtry appears to be a generic Trump clone, someone who tries a little too hard to come off as a tough guy. He exudes the anti-intellectualism and lack of nuance characteristic of the blindly pro-cop, pro-Israel, pro-war Right that we’ve come to expect of many Republicans during the War on Terror years. He appeals to people of that same limited intellect, people for whom difficult questions regarding war, peace, and liberty, induce painful migraines that they would rather avoid. Thankfully, Massie’s constituency is composed of uniquely intelligent individuals, people who see through McMurtry’s fraudulent facade. McMurtry would be nothing more than a rubber stamp for more war, more spending, more debt, all at the price of diminished liberty. McMurtry, if elected, would have gleefully leapt head-first into the Swamp and become just another RINO invertebrate among thousands. This is what Owens wanted over Massie, which despite her witty Tweets, tells you all you need to know about her. McMurtry stood no chance against Massie, who received over 80% of the vote.

Consequences of appeasing the mob

City leaders currently allowing mobs to rampage freely through their streets, refusing to denounce the violence and chaos, must believe that by doing so the mob will be more quickly satisfied and dissipate. Let them mindlessly tear down statues, destroy and deface property, attack various bystanders caught in the wrong place and time, and hopefully they’ll just go away, is apparently the logic here. But for a violent mob there is no rhyme or reason, there is no satiating it. Rather, the lack of consequences enflames and emboldens it. And it is definitely an ‘it’. A mob is re-barbarization made starkly visible, in the same way that fire is the more violent, rapid, and destructive form of the oxidation process that the rust is also a part of. The punitive, feeble-minded lockdowns conjured into existence powerful forces of what I can only describe as re-barbarization, where primitive human drives awaken from a civilization-induced slumber and run amok. The mob has no intelligence and no goal other than inflicting chaos and destruction upon a modern world that must appear very unnatural to it. If there exists anything in human nature that could be called ‘original sin’, it’s this primitive impulse to drag society back to the Dark Ages, the impulse that is currently allowed free rein under the guise of ‘anti-racism’. But it’s no longer about racism, or police violence, and sadly it appears that the opportunity for real change in police accountability has passed. The voice of the mob is speaking, and it’s the voice of anti-civilization.

The mob is rejecting the modern world, rejecting the very values of equality and liberty that the modern world was built on. And so it tears down monuments to those ideals. But the toppling of statues will never be enough. The mob, being a predictable force of nature, requires atonement via the deaths of flesh and blood human beings. Not merely the many deaths that have already occurred at the hands of the mob, but executions, will follow from the symbolic destruction of property.

But, American citizens won’t let it come to that. Which is why the next phase of this nation’s spiral will manifest in a populist counter reaction to the left-wing mobs. This will not be a good thing, because it will mean that the citizens of this country have lost their confidence in the ability of their own government to put a stop to the left-wing pogrom. A right-wing analogue will emerge, with their own mob and their own leaders. ‘Law and Order’ will be their rallying cry, and it will attract wide support. Leaders will eventually emerge, and center on personalities that more closely resemble Brazil’s Bolsonaro or the Philippines Duterte. This would be a devastating development, and it would be true, populist fascism. Homegrown, as it always is. They’ll be swept into power in order to subdue the left-wing mobs, but once they’re gone, they won’t leave office. The American Strongman will emerge in what will be the final act of a play that began with a trumped up reaction to a phantom illness that will soon be forgotten.

I think we’ve had enough of the pandemic charade

To a certain extent, I’ll play along with the coronavirus farce. I’ll keep my distance, stand on the blue dots in a check-out line. But that’s about as far as I’ll go. Using a freshly sanitized cart is ironically disgusting, as they are usually still wet from whatever chemical brew they’ve been dowsed with. I’ll take nature’s pathogens over sterile toxins any day. I still see people wearing the dangerous N95 masks, suffocating on their own carbon dioxide, as well as the middle-aged crowd scared out of their wits, and I think it’s high time we give up this superstitious fear over a phantom illness that poses a risk only to the very old and immunocompromised. Our sanity is at stake. Shutting down society over a mild infection is something only a hypochondriac would think a wise choice. And the news is apparently brainstorming with those rare people for whom the world outside their homes is a waking nightmare of germs. No, we are done with this charade. Those that want to cower in their homes should be allowed to. But they should have no influence over the lives of others. If they want to play Russian roulette with their lives by injecting a dangerous, untested coronavirus vaccine, let them. But don’t force me to do the same. I place my trust in the real miracle of evolution, the process that has gifted us with our miraculous immune system. We have evolved to handle mild infections and to develop and pass on a natural herd immunity to COVID-19, directly contributing to that evolutionary process. I can think of no act more dangerous than tampering with evolutionary forces, which is what is apparently being suggested with the fast-tracking of an RNA vaccine. Let’s ditch the crazy talk, and remove the crazies from power, before they sanitize us right off a cliff.
