Cops staked out a gardening store and apparently thought the dad and two kids were growing pot.  The SWAT raid was based on nothing more than gardening supplies and tea leaves in the garbage.

This could have gone far worse: dead pets, or dead people, all over a lazily-researched SWAT raid.  Not to mention the terror the militarized cops inflicted on the children.

Lucky for his innocent victims, the cop didn’t realize that his body cam captured the 30 seconds just before he activated it.  This seems to be a good argument for body cams that record non-stop, and that can’t be switched off by the cop wearing it.  Some cops, though, don’t seem particularly keen on the idea of body cams that are always recording.

Vets get the shaft yet again.
