‘Fascism’ isn’t even the right word for this though. This is far worse, containing a psychological element that other incarnations of authoritarianism have lacked for the most part. This is a rebirth of the religion of the State, a far older phenomenon than the fascism and communisim of the twentieth century, and its appearance feels inevitable, the final crisis of a culture whose moral and intellectual underpinnings have long ago rotted away to nothing. The value of freedom is taught nowhere, children and adults are herded through conveyer-belt schools, conveyer belt careers, with no true knowledge or virtue imparted, and when a crisis of this magnitude erupts from beneath their feet, they have no framework through which to understand it or mount a defense.

“Be together”
Just unveiled: Boston “Be Together” initiative
It requires full vaccination for entry to restaurants, gyms, and sports arenas for anyone aged 12+
In March 2022, vaccination mandates will phase-in for younger children as well
An ironic name for a program that divides society. pic.twitter.com/GO2BWzYR2W

Just astounding. Proof of vax will soon become proof-of-booster, and then whatever else then feel like requiring. It’s a domino effect. These cities will never return without far more organized and relentless effort than their residents are willing to muster.
Starting on January 15, 2022, individuals will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter certain indoor spaces like restaurants, fitness facilities, entertainment spaces, and certain meeting spaces in Boston.
