I have no idea how to share earlier posts, so here is a screenshot. I feel that the United States, if not the world, is almost completely out of the woods of the self-inflicted civilizational crisis that our leaders threw us into one year ago. Cooler heads are being to be heard, the hypochondriacs and fearmongers are being pushed to the side, and we are finally returning to normal, albeit slowly.

I can’t express enough how close the modern world was to total collapse during this past year. Entirely self-inflicted, the product of fear taking the reins and guiding policy. My fear was a total collapse of economic activity that could not be salvaged, followed shortly by hyperinflation, outbreaks of violence, totalitarianism, and a complete cratering of the modern world. I truly thought we were witnessing a great civilizational decline, on par with Rome. And a decline based on such stupid pretense. Entirely avoidable, but a year ago we were stampeding like spooked cattle towards a cliff, with the corporate press, regulatory leaders, and politicians fueling the fear.

For many, it has been an apocalypse. 3 million children in the US have dropped completely off the grid, teachers have no idea where they are or what has happened to them. That, to some, would certainly be considered apocalyptic. Enormous crimes against humanity have been committed under the guise of “keeping the American people safe”. Tens of millions of lives forever altered, a generation of children traumatized due to the infantile behavior of the adult world. It was all for nothing. The fear, the lockdowns, the masks, the unbelievable human rights violations, all in vain. The virus spread regardless.

Many of us knew this a year prior. I had thought it was obvious that shutting down huge swaths of a complex, modern economy would produce devastating outcomes. Apparently it wasn’t so obvious, which to me was terrifying.

The fact that most people have no idea how dependent they and their families are on the unhampered functioning of a market economy is horrifying. I was horrified when, a year ago, states began issuing shelter-in-place orders, as if we can turn off the economy like a light switch, and then turn it back on again when we feel like it.

The only thing standing between us and the Stone Age is our developed economy. Almost no one understands that, and it is a tragedy. It’s still almost impossible to believe what has happened over the past year. Not the virus, but the reaction to the virus. And how long it took for libertarians to rise to the occasion and condemn this epoch-defining destruction of liberty.

Contra Biden, lockdowns, masks, and the widespread support for both, are products of a Neanderthal state of mind. And the Neanderthals, usually Phd-educated and with a sky-high IQ, are demanding more lockdowns, more Stalinism, and downplaying the devastation caused by it.

I have no real opinion on this overwrought tabloid story, but as a general rule if the abusive/rage-prone Piers Morgan is against something, I’m for it. The primary source of entertainment stems from the ruling class descending into a pig sty brawl. That’s the entertainment I live for.

Wyoming will lift statewide mask mandate next week

Great news. The charade is collapsing at an increasing pace. Unfortunately, and let it forever be a stain on our character, the last bastion of forced masking will probably be our school system. The well-being of children were sacrificed at every stage of this godforsaken phony pandemic, and they’ll be the last ones to be returned their humanity. We are all cowards.

CDC guidelines in practice would mean medical Apartheid

Over the past year, we’ve been conditioned to hate the maskless. In response, hate has bloomed overnight like toxic algae in a lake. It’s everywhere: on television, radio, online, at the store, everywhere. Our government, the corporate press, regulatory bodies, they have all incited this hate. As a result, people have been berated, beaten, and murdered over the godawful piece of useless cloth that we’re told somehow prevents infection. But the masks do nothing, they haven’t stopped infection or spread. They act only as a symbol, a crucifix that the hypochondriacs can hold in order to ward off the invisible evil flowing around them. And these hypochondriacs hate those who don’t suffer under the same debilitating fear.

Violence borne out of hatred for those different from us. An ugly evolutionary artifact that we have attempted for hundreds of years to overcome. And now the ruling class is coaxing it back out, this capacity for hatred of the ‘other’.

Now that ‘other’ will become the unvaccinated. Anyone who hasn’t received the worse-than-useless COVID-19 mRNA vaccine will be shunned from polite society. “Vaccine passports” will be the new mask. This will have the practical effect of creating a medical Apartheid, where the passport-less will be treated as second-class. Massive corporations will be pressured into only accepting customers who carry this passport.

We stand at the threshold of what should appear to us as a very familiar gateway to an ancient evil.
