“Zero COVID” is, by design, an impossible goal

We’re seeing it everywhere now: the Upper Class call for “zero COVID”. It’s unachievable, to completely eradicate a virus, just as the goal to “stamp out terrorism” was unachievable. This is by design, and it’s being sold to the public as a collective moral imperative that we must all submit to, a mirage that we are being dragged far into the desert in pursuit of. We no longer even see the mirage, but we’re assured that something is there. We pass masks on the way, and now we’re passing the vaccine. We should realize that the people at the helm have no idea what they are doing or saying. The War on COVID is being set up to become an endless war, no different from the War on Terror. It’s the Vietnam of public health campaigns. We just have to accept that COVID-19 is here to stay, just like the common cold or the flu. We wouldn’t even notice it’s presence without constant reminders.

COVID is real, but it isn’t the boogeyman virus we were led to believe it was. It’s a normal, mild infection, that once contracted provides natural immunity for years. This obsession with COVID, however, is a clear and present threat to the lives and livelihoods of everyone, most importantly our children. They bear the brunt of this hysteria every time they put on a mask before school, or are henpecked over “distancing”, or forced to wear a mask during physical education, or deprived of visits from their parents and grandparents at school. Their lives are significantly diminished, and they are made to believe that this is somehow normal.

Then again, as I watch this, I realize that here in the US this man would’ve been tased, brutally beaten, or shot by now. Here we’re acclimated to standard conflict escalation by the police.

Student quarantines function as punishments for the parents for demanding in-school learning

2 days after a California school district finally opened for in-person learning, 81 students were subjected to mandatory quarantine for a period of ten days, based on the fact that 7 positive COVID tests were confirmed somewhere in the community.

I don’t see how anyone can interpret random student quarantines as anything other than retaliation by the teacher’s unions, who have demanded the ridiculous precautions be put in place before they return to teaching. It appears that they wish to make school so inconvenient and disrupting that the community relents and allows a return to virtual-only.

The only real solution, that no politician in California would even attempt, is to end COVID testing, end quarantines for healthy students, and provide an ultimatum to teachers: show up to work or be replaced. COVID-19 poses no risk to children or teachers. A very specific demographic is at risk, and if those who fall within it are too afraid to teach, then they should find another line of employment.

Children have a right to an education, no one has a right to a job. But right now we are allowing our children’s childhoods to be sacrificed to the whims of an infantile government union, who obviously do not care about the children at all.

Everyone else has had to return to work. Teachers should as well. How many more years can this go on? How many school years will be stolen from children before something is done?

COVID-ism is never meant to end

Just in case anyone still believed that the vaccine was our ticket out of the gulag, an increasing number of establishment news outlets is providing the answer that many feared all along: no, COVID-ism is here to stay, even after everyone is vaccinated. Our leaders are addicted to this power, and will never give it up voluntarily. We need new leaders who respect the rights of citizens, and a new Bill of Rights that recognizes and better protects our rights as a free people.
