The new lockdowns in England are based upon a supposed “mutation” of COVID…and yet the emergency hospitals built to treat surging patient numbers are being dismantled because they aren’t being used.
There is no solution, no exit plan for COVID authoritarianism. The authoritarianism is the point, the goal, and sustaining it once it has been achieved is now the aim of government.
Unbelievably tragic, and totally unnecessary. Entire regions of the US are being driven into the dirt, never to return.

Ireland has again descended into “Level 5” lockdown, which is as bad as it sounds. It will last months, and at the end of those months, a new excuse will be found to continue this totalitarianism. Her government is utterly beholden to COVID-ism, a new variation of an ancient religion that gives a mystical justification for total control by government of their population. We’ve been able to see firsthand why strict constitutions must be written to bind the power of government, because once government gets a taste of power, it never lets go.
One paradox of a free society is that it doesn’t produce people who are willing and able to defend that freedom. In fact it produces the opposite, masses of people who in fact hate it, and actively work to install a government that will reverse the progress made possible by freedom.
The sick reality: inevitable nursing home deaths (which typically occur at about 6 months from admission) were beneficial for the lockdown panic narrative, but are harmful for the “vaccines are great” narrative.

I see these disgusting, useless things everywhere: thrown out on the sidewalk, in roads, littered everywhere. What did everyone think was going to happen? How many environmentalists spoke up when large-scale masking was discussed, and when it became obvious that mask pollution was just over the horizon?
In case you haven’t yet deduced that simple fact from the evidence of the past 9 months, you’re never going to get a normal life back unless you make a concerted effort to take it back. First it was “wait two weeks”, then “flatten the curve”, then “wear a mask”, and then “wait for a vaccine”. Despite the ever-moving goalposts, many sincerely believed that the arrival of a vaccine would signal the end of the tyranny. Well, the vaccine is here and no, it hasn’t. Now we’re told that lockdowns and masks are here to stay, at least in the blue states. COVID-19 has become an enormous industry, one built upon mass testing and mask wearing. The testing provides a rationale for unending power grabs, and the masks are an irritating and dangerous reminder that COVID-19 even exists, something we wouldn’t notice without our government constantly reminding us.
A return to normal means a complete dismantling of the COVID industry that has sprung up. It means putting COVID-19 permanently in the rear-view mirror, and looking at it the same way we look and talk about SARS or the swine flu. Freedom and COVID hysteria cannot co-exist.
