Because she appears to be running a scam. And yet even now she is still asking for money from gullible Trump supporters. She is discrediting the very real voter fraud investigations while also taking advantage of the many people who have bought into her baseless hype.

I’d like very much to believe her. I’d love for her to provide proof of her claims of voter fraud, but here is why I believe that she won’t, unfortunately.

People who make outlandish claims on cable news, backed up by zero facts, are usually lying.

If someone says they have a “Kraken” that they are about to release, they usually don’t. If you have a Kraken you release it, you don’t tell people about it. Powell’s “kraken” moment was the exact moment I lost faith in her. This isn’t the type of language that honest people use.

Fame-hungry lawyers who cry on national television during a press conference are, more often than not, pure scum. They’re running a con, and tricking the gullible believers in the Kraken theory into forking over cash. Televangelists have the crocodile-tear act down to an art, as do many politicians, and yes, lawyers.

If Powell doesn’t have jack squat, she needs to admit it and let the more serious election investigations proceed without her in the spotlight to discredit them.

In my opinion, Sydney Powell has a dishonest demeanor. It’s in the way she speaks and acts.

I’d love to be wrong. I hope I am. But it appears unfortunately that she’s running a scam on people who desperately want to believe her unproven claims.

Hitchens here does what few have thus far been able to do: correctly diagnose COVID-ism as a new religion. This explains why the converts to this fundamentalist doctrine are impervious to reason. Religious fanatics never care about facts, and will ignore them. Another thing: history shows us that facts are not the all-powerful disinfectant that many of us naively believe them to be. A totalitarian fundamentalist creed could murder 100 million innocents before being overturned by “the facts”. The people around us also are not as easily swayed by reason and research as we’d like to believe. Instead, they are just one good peer-pressured nudge into supporting and complying with a new fascism, indoctrinating their children into the cult, and joining in the moblike pogrom against heretics. Just look at the venom spewed at those who oppose lockdowns and masks. These people, millions of them, are on the precipice of throwing their support behind a total police state. It should be far more terrifying to us.

This is amazing. These goons are throwing a fit because they aren’t getting their soundbite.

These guys are pathetic, low-information useful idiots. They’re allowing themselves to be exploited because they are morons who only pretend to be anti-establishment. This further feeds my theory that great artists are merely conduits for great art, ordinary people who happen to be in the right place at the right time to become a lightning rod, channeling creativity out of the aether rather than creating it themselves. This explains why so many great artists are, more often than not, utter dunces.
