Stumbling shell-shocked into an unknown future

We’re coming to the end of the SECOND month of 2023, and we’re just about to hit the THIRD anniversary of the greatest single instance of mass hysteria the human race has ever encountered. Virtually all of us will mark this occasion with a shrug, or ignore it altogether. We’ve stumbled out of that fugue state, but still suffer the effects, both psychologically and financially. We are collectively still ripe for the next mass formation hysteria, maybe more so than pre-2020, because now we’ve been softened up, and vanishingly few have taken the time to build the intellectual dike, and re-arm our minds for future assaults. But continuous, low-level attacks wear us down. The worst and most debilitating being the inflation of every godawful necessity to continue surviving amid Hell’s creation. Food, bills, gas, everything has risen in price, forcing untold numbers under the current to drown. But no one cares about the vast suffering inflicted upon the most vulnerable among the US population, the skyrocketing credit card debt used merely to eat for a month, or force ends to meet for a few more months. Suicide, drug overdose deaths, heart attacks, strokes, violence, sexually-transmitted disease, illiteracy, malnutrition, et cetera. All this, man-made, man-created. Not a virus, not an act of God, who gave us free will as a gift, to succeed or fail, but man-made. God’s gift, free will, a gift we chose to relinquish, and so we became animals. Worse than animals, for a time. We as a culture are now experiencing the consequences of turning our backs on that gift. We didn’t want the responsibility, the burden to defend our gift of choice. The bounties of the exercise of free choice by previous generations gave us a world that made us soft, and made us forget the principle that this abundance rested upon. And when the time came that tested our mettle, we folded, collectively, and failed to defend our gift. And for this sin, committed not only against ourselves but also against the forebears who bled so that God’s gift may be enshrined in law for our benefit, we’ve been made to suffer. And we’ll continue to suffer until we understand that our only path out of this endless night is a reinstatement of this gift, so lately dethroned. The gift of choice, of free will, free choice enthroned as Law.

We’re not anywhere near to this ideal, and it appears that we’ll be mired in a socio-economic tar pit until we either evolve, or go extinct. Greater numbers are stumbling towards the light, and mass formation events appear more difficult for the puppet masters to orchestrate, but until an awakening to the philosophic foundations of a truly human civilization occurs, we’ll remain on defense, weathering continuous blows to our wallets, our jobs, and our futures.
