Voting won’t fix this

Dilbert here is understandably upset. The overwhelming vote in favor of the Antisemitism Awareness Act is outrageous, but it’s just one in a long series of outrages that we face every year from Congress. We get angry, we say we’re going to mobilize, and vote these people out. It doesn’t work. It never works. We vote people in who then vote in favor of legislative crimes like this one. The problem is that our Congress is allowed to vote on far too much. They have too much latitude, given to them by an imperfect Bill of Rights and Constitution. We nee a new Bill of Rights, one far more restrictive of government action than the one we currently have. The “vote better people in” plan doesn’t work in this environment. It is irredeemably corrupt. We need a new system. But how will we get it? We won’t, again due to the political environment. We need a new country, and we need to take the Founding relics with us, a new nation that is the America as envisioned by the Founders. That’s the only solution. A Columbia, the old America reborn. We currently are on a ship headed towards disaster. Leave this corpse to the vultures picking it apart, lets give America’s soul a new nation.
