Yesterday, Thomas Massie, in what was by far the most expensive Congressional race in US history ($33 million total spent by both sides), lost his seat to an utterly hollow non-entity named Ed Gallrein. Gallrein was funded by three billionaires, Paul Singer, Miriam Adelson, and John Paulson, who have been trying for years to eject Massie from Congress. Massie may have lost, but he made them bleed to accomplish it. And without the vote of the low-information, Fox News-addicted Boomer Republicans, Gallrein would have remained a non-entity for the rest of his life. But thanks to them, one of the most popular Congressmen in history was ousted by an unknown, using out-of-state millions to do so.
We know why Massie was targeted. His immovable opposition to Israeli influence in US politics caused him to become Enemy Number 1 for Israel, Trump, and the entirety of our Israeli-purchased Political Class. For every un-Constitutional federal action in favor of Israel, Massie always stood ready to toss in a monkey wrench. He was a very effective Congressman, and the most principled since Ron Paul. Wanna-be tyrants hate that. Trump, having destroyed his movement within a year, further desecrated his legacy by waging total war against Massie, even to the extent that he sided with those who supported throwing him and his family in prison.
Massie’s loss is a bitter pill to swallow. It lays bare the reality that our elections are bought and sold out in the open, with no pretense of fairness. Is the answer to strictly limit outside money from Congressional races? One infuriating episode amid Massie’s campaign was when Massie supporters raised $1.3 million in a single day from small donations, only to see Miriam Adelson offset it with a single $1.3 million check to support Gallrein. Is this really something that we should accept, foreign-allied billionaires buying American elections? I really think not.
The question now is: will Massie run for President in 2028? He has the support of millions of Americans, and could be the standard-bearer for real freedom that Trump never was and never was going to be. Will enough Boomers be alive to ruin that election too? We’ll see. For now, it’s important to understand the stranglehold that the pro-Israel Class has over our political system. At the moment, it isn’t ours in the slightest.
