Total surveillance infrastructure is being built out at such a rapid pace that it will soon be almost impossible to dismantle. Every industrial and government sector will become dependent on the endless flood of data flowing from 24/7 surveillance that they will move to completely crush any effort to restore privacy. Most everyone treats this as some inevitability, with almost no one lifting a finger to stop it.
