Does a perceived loose cannon leader actually bring more world peace?

The Ukraine invasion has me thinking about Trump’s January 2020 assassination of Iran general Soleimani. At the time I’d seen it as a reckless murder, which it is, but now I wonder how the world viewed it. It was a brazen killing of a sovereign nation’s military general, but it did send a message to the world: Trump could very well have you killed, no matter who you are. Trump’s perceived willingness to actually pull the trigger paradoxically led to more peace. No one wanted to cross him. Trump was aggressive, arrogant, and pitiless. As offensive as these traits may be, it might be better for national security for your national leader to have them.

It’s not our fight

Tragic, the events unfolding in Ukraine. Russia appears intent on taking the entirety of the nation, rather than a few small chunks. But it’s not our fight, it’s not worth the lives of Westerners to intervene. Would this have happened under Trump? I have a feeling that it wouldn’t have. Biden is perceived as weak, indecisive, elderly. This is an extremely dangerous perception.

My dismal prediction: The response by the West to Russia’s military incursion will be far worse than the incursion itself. NATO will be forced to act, Germany’s Russian natural gas will be cut off, and so on. You can see how this will spiral very shortly into something very bad.

Ukraine isn’t worth an American life or an American dollar

Unbelievable watching the manufacture of a military “crisis” in realtime. It’s not our fight, as Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lybia, and others were not our fight. Our involvement makes the situation worse. Currently the United States is flying spy planes over the Ukraine with  their transponders on. This is a brazen attempt to draw an attack, from which will emerge a military response. Pathetic. It’s not our fight. We have no moral authority to say which US citizens should die and who should pick up the f—ing bill. If the Ukraine and Russia duke it out, it will last less than a week. If we’re involved it will last years, and many will die. Do we really want to turn the Ukraine into a warzone? Our troops would be fighting alongside the Azov Battalion, a group of Ukrainian troops who are openly neo-Nazis, for sections of land where reside openly pro-Russian civilians.

The world is run by a small minority of monsters, cowards, and degenerates, always seeking to spread their darkness. A similar small minority work continuously to keep the darkness at bay. This latter group I’m now convinced is the reason that we the human race have arrived at our state of development and relative peace. The latter group humanizes the middle who comprise the vast majority of our species.
