Tucker Carlson’s show is highest-rate in cable news history

This is more evidence that there are two Americas existing side-by-side: the vocal, in-your-face one that we hear from constantly, with both corporate and government backing, and the silent America, which we haven’t heard from too much, but is currently bubbling and boiling beneath the surface. This America has been slurred endlessly, and has been systematically disenfranchised, ostracized, deplatformed, alienated, and silenced. But that doesn’t mean that they aren’t still there, getting angrier by the day. They watch Tucker nightly, and they’ll vote overwhelmingly for Trump, but their real champion is just up the road a ways. He or she will be the American Bolsonaro, or worse, the American Duterte, and this person will ride the cresting wave of the inevitable counter-reaction. Only then will true populist totalitarianism arrive in the United States. This could be avoided, if only the mobs were handled appropriately and every COVID public policy were scrapped. But this won’t happen. And so we’re in for the true death of liberty the United States.

Doctors caught issuing ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ orders for COVID patients with mental disabilities

From Forbes:

A more insidious practice has also been brought to light in which some doctors have been placing unlawful DNR orders on the records of individuals with learning disabilities without prior consultation with the person’s family or carers.

Turning Point, a social enterprise providing health and social care services across over 300 locations in the U.K., along with Learning Disability England, responded earlier this month by producing a new information pack to educate parents and carers about DNR orders and the steps they can take to challenge them…

…In the U.S., several states including Tennessee, Washington, Kansas Pennsylvania and New York have issued protocols deprioritizing the treatment of disabled people in the event of scarce medical resources.

Additionally, Alabama was compelled in April by the Office for Civil Rights to abandon its crisis management policy of “denying ventilator services to individuals based on the presence of intellectual disabilities, including ‘profound mental retardation’ and ‘moderate to severe dementia.“

We’re headed to COVID herd immunity whether we like it or not

It’s simultaneously horrifying and entertaining to watch bureaucrats and health “experts” scurry about in a vain attempt to cobble together a policy that would prevent the spread of the virus. Standing amid the devastation of the economic lockdowns, the Political Class is going full steam ahead with a mandatory mask policy, despite the evidence that masks do little to stem the spread, while slowly suffocating the wearer. But it does make everyone feel safer, whether it works or not. That’s the goal, apparently. First an illusion of danger, then an illusion of safety, with massive power grabs taking place while we are held in thrall by the illusion.

There is no stopping COVID-19. It will continue to spread until herd immunity is reached. Lucky for us, it’s not much of a danger to anyone. It poses no risk to children or young adults, and minimal risk to anyone under 65. The median age of death is 79. Positive cases are rising, and yet the death rate is falling. This news should be celebrated by every corner of our society. The rapidly growing group of recovered individuals means herd immunity is on the horizon. This means we will never need a treatment, a vaccine, or social distancing and lockdowns. Ever. Society can reopen safely. In fact, the numbers show that the one thing we should be doing is opening as fast as possible, because we will reach herd immunity much more quickly. To better protect society, the young and healthy must be exposed to this virus. No different than a vaccine, except that a wild COVID infection doesn’t come with the laundry list of dangerous preservatives.  Our immune system is the product of millions of years of natural selection. It was made to handle COVID. Let nature do it’s magic. I can think of no more dangerous, foolish enterprise that attempts to intervene in the process of evolution, or attempts to tinker or alter products of evolution. Evolutionary forces are smarter than the “experts” currently setting the world on fire. If any positive change is to emerge from the self-inflicted chaos we’ve suffered from over the past several months, it will come in the form of a complete rejection of “expert-ism”, or the reliance on the advice of experts. The “experts” got COVID wrong, but nevertheless inflicted a massive amount of pain on the world.  Civilization can’t afford to listen to their advice ever again.

Candace Owens, just another generic Republican demagogue

According to Ballotpedia, Candace Owens endorsed Thomas Massie’s opponent, Todd McMurtry. Massie is almost alone in his courageous defense of liberty in this nation. He alone demanded a recorded vote on the multi-trillion dollar COVID bailout of corporate America. He is as close to a young Ron Paul as we’ll probably ever get, and Owens endorsed his opponent. McMurtry appears to be a generic Trump clone, someone who tries a little too hard to come off as a tough guy. He exudes the anti-intellectualism and lack of nuance characteristic of the blindly pro-cop, pro-Israel, pro-war Right that we’ve come to expect of many Republicans during the War on Terror years. He appeals to people of that same limited intellect, people for whom difficult questions regarding war, peace, and liberty, induce painful migraines that they would rather avoid. Thankfully, Massie’s constituency is composed of uniquely intelligent individuals, people who see through McMurtry’s fraudulent facade. McMurtry would be nothing more than a rubber stamp for more war, more spending, more debt, all at the price of diminished liberty. McMurtry, if elected, would have gleefully leapt head-first into the Swamp and become just another RINO invertebrate among thousands. This is what Owens wanted over Massie, which despite her witty Tweets, tells you all you need to know about her. McMurtry stood no chance against Massie, who received over 80% of the vote.
