The violence is only going one way

It’s been nine days now since the impossible-to-accept murder of Charlie Kirk. Why does it still retain the sense of unreality, as if it didn’t really happen, and that he’s still out there, speaking and podcasting and debating? I think it boils down to the fact that his future seemed almost divinely ordained. He was destined to grow old, to grow in influence, and probably become our President, or even our monarch. The unspoken belief is that he was divinely protected, but somehow nefarious forces were able to trick God into letting his guard down. I don’t really know how else to put it. We don’t feel this sense of gutted disbelief with other political assassinations. That feeling of total loss isn’t just for Charlie, but for a promised future for this nation now utterly lost.

Charlie’s murder was akin to that of a majestic predator being gunned down from a safe distance by a slow-witted endomorph. Lions, tigers, and more, are hunted for sport by wealthy fats who would never face their trophy on a more even playing field. So too Tyler Robinson.

It’s been clear for years that the violence only goes one way. Only one side riots, burns, loots, murders, harasses, maims, et cetera. Only conservatives face violence, and are forced to hide the dates of their public appearances. The Left doesn’t. And this is the primary lesson to take from all this. The bullets are flying only from one direction. Meaning, this isn’t mere political disagreement. This is an early-stage Bolshevik-style revolution. The Left are transforming into violent revolutionaries, with the murder and imprisonment of their political enemies. What comes after that? They don’t care. Their goal is chaos and total destruction.
